WALKING ON WATER PRODUCTIONS

WOW has recently opened up a Performing Arts Center that serves as a venue for rehearsals, auditions, meetings, actor’s and playwright’s classes and workshops. This location is also being outfitted to be the Southeast’s first Urban-Inspirational Black Box Theatre. WOW also provides drama ministry consulting for churches and independent drama troupes. Tangie Beaty (CEO) and Donna Johnson (COO) are the voices behind these awe-inspiring productions and are the next big names in inspirational theatre!

In 2013, just prior to receiving the Best Directors Award for their stage play “Yesterday is Still Gone” (YSG) at the Kingdomwood Film Festival in Atlanta, GA, WOW Productions received a national distribution deal for the same play. YSG, their first play recorded for DVD, was released in February 2014 and is currently available in stores and online in Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon as well as a few other retailers.

WOW’s newest production “Confessions of a Good Man” has been performed in front of several packed houses and was well received at the Ira Aldridge Theatre at Howard University when it was performed in June 2014 during the DC Black Theatre Festival. In preparation for this production, WOW hosted an all-day workshop for its in-house actors led by Emmy Award-winning actor GregAlan Williams.

WOW Productions is dedicated to highlighting and ensuring that arts are supported and thriving in the Midlands. WOW Productions was also involved in the coordination of Township Auditorium’s Community Day for its grand re-opening. For more information call 803.807.2969 or visit www.wowproduction.org.
