Minister LaShawn Denise McLemore was born in 1973 in Dayton, Ohio. She grew up as a preacher’s kid, who started singing at the young age of 8 and playing the drums at the age of 12.  She shares her powerful testimony of overcoming the overwhelming trials and tribulations of her life through her heartfelt spirit lead vocal performances and preaching the word of God, forcing believers and non-believers alike to stand up and pay attention. Sharing her inspiring story of struggle and despair while incarcerated, LaShawn encourages her audience of God’s unmerited favor and his limitless grace and mercy. Through song, dance and preaching, she declares the great works of God and the power of His love, while ushering in the spirit of God.

 

LaShawn has been anointed by God to operate in the many gifts bestowed on her by our Heavenly Father, she truly has a calling on her life. While incarcerated she was inspired by the Holy Spirit to begin a dance ministry once released from prison. She created and founded Anointed2Dance Ministries in 2006. This artist has been gifted to spread the word of God in many ways; song, dance and preaching His word!!! Her other gifts include; choreography of liturgical and mime dance, choir directing, song writing and arrangement, and creating musical skits.

 

She has been preaching for over 7 years, but was licensed and ordained in 2012. Her life’s mission is to give those who are unsaved, lost, those with a horrible past hope in God!!! To let them know that despite their mistakes in life, God loves them, and can still use them. She is currently Minister of Music, at the Good Samaritan Baptist Church, in Dayton Ohio. LaShawn recorded her first two singles; I am Healed and Use me, which were released November 2015. LaShawn is currently traveling across the states, promoting her music through concerts and conferences. She is due to release her new single “His Name” and her first book, From the Prison to the Palace, summer 2016!!
