Capa changed his life, and gave his heart to God, and it was the best choice he ever made in his life. He found peace in God that he was missing all of them years. Through the streets, drugs, guns, violence and eventually prison, Capa finally made this choice and he is glad he did. He also changed his music as well. Music has ran through his veins for over 2 decades. It has been a long hard road, but God has never left his side, and Capa is thankful for that. It's all about Christ, Capa follows his lead. His vision is to change the world one soul at a time.
Capa competed in the Prayze Factor People’s Choice Awards, August 4th-6th 2014 in Columbia S.C. This was a long process that involved voting physically and financial support from the fans. Capa had a grand total of 1,150,803 votes. Capa won “Best Holy Hip Hop Artist Of The Year Award” and also Grand Champion of the Season 4 Prayze Factor People’s Choice Awards 2014, beating out all styles of Gospel music artist, including mass choirs. Capa made history, the first Holy Hip Hop Artist to ever win this award. Capa also performed at St. Peters World Outreach Center in Winston Salem, N.C. with over 3,000 people, on New Years 2014. T.D. Jakes preached there and also Deion Sanders. Capa has done countless amounts of shows in churches, charity events, and anything involving the youth, not counting the thousands of shows Capa performed at as a secular artist.
Through the history of Capa's career as a secular artist, that led up to where he is now, it has been a long hard road. "I don’t regret my past, I believe it made me the man i am today". Here are some of the accomplishments he made as a secular Artist.
Capa got the spot to open up for “Gucci Mane”, “Plies” “Lil Boosie”, “Lil Webbie”, “Crime Mobb”, Pastor Troy”, “Gorilla Zoe”, “Hurricane Chris”, and a few others. This was August 4th 2007 at Cricket Arena in Charlotte, NC with a crowd of over 8,000 sold out. In 2003 Capa won a competition, 3 days, 3 rounds, to open up for “Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz”, “Ying Yang Twins” and “Three 6 Mafia” on Christmas day. “Ying Yang Twins” and “Three 6 Mafia” opened up for Capa. He came on stage at 10:30 at night right before “lil Jon”, and once again the show was sold out with over 8,000 people. Both of these shows was at Cricket Arena (now known as Bojangles Arena) in Charlotte, NC. His performance's led to a few television appearances. Capa performed on “World Wide Flava” (Channel 21 out of Charlotte, NC) with Anthony Hamilton, and “The Crowes Nest” on the UPN channel. Over more then 20 years of music and writing lyrics, Capa has been presented on stage as opening performer for old school artists as well, such as “Tony Toni Tone”, “Queen Pin”, “Akynele”, and accompanied him on a three show tour, which included Wanda Dee, Soul fa Real, Craig Mack and Ronald Isley, (AKA Mr. Biggs) from the Isley brothers. Capa Also opened up for Donnell Jones, and performed in two shows with Sunshine Anderson. Capa has appeared as a free style RAP artist in twelve live radio interviews on W.P.E.G. Power 98 out of Charlotte, NC. Capa also had many spins on that station.
Capa is currently in Bible College training to be a Preacher. Capa takes what he has learned through life and real experiences with the help from God, to write music. Capa's heart goes into his music. God is his life and he will write for him until his days come to an end. Capa's music has touched MANY MANY lives and he prays God will continue to use him to spread his word. Capa started Holy Hip Hop music in 2011 and has completed 3 albums. Over Capa's whole career he has over 700 songs he has wrote and recorded.

The name Capa, originally started from the name “Caper”, which was crime related. Through the years he changed it to "Capa" pronounced like capability, and also capable. He wanted to change it so it would mean something positive. Capa also has the meaning C.A.P.A. (CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS).
