Animinister Animation began in 2013 as a tool to spread a true biblical message to children and adults. Mainstream animation is vulgar and violent and kids are being influenced in the wrong ways through the medium, and we want to change that. Our goal is to bring all Christian animators together for one single cause, and to be more collaborative instead of working as independents. In sharing talents and resources, we could reach a larger audience with the Gospel of Jesus.
We would also like to see more acceptance from Christian television, as the majority of us are sidelined to YouTube, Vimeo or personal websites and the viewers just aren't finding the material. We would also like to see the development of a ROKU channel, where our works could be streamed on demand to thousands of televisions.
ANIMATIONS
As animators, we have to up the ante on the quality and content in order to be competitive to our secular counterparts who have the larger funding and bigger teams, all without compromising the message or becoming cheesy... we have to stay true to the Gospel first and foremost.
We have been developing several ideas over the last few months and our hope is to see these come to fruition very soon. Development of a ROKU channel is high on that list and we would love to see ALL of our fellow Christian animators included on the channel. There are many talented people in Christian animation, they just need a chance to have their work seen and appreciated. For us it isn't about making money from the Gospel, but to have an opportunity to offer what God has freely given to us, freely to a world that desperately needs Jesus. God will provide all of our needs if what we are doing for Him is truly about AND for Him and the furtherance of His Kingdom.
